Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced "The Simpsons: Backstage Pass" for release on the 20th 0f May priced at ?15.99. The disk is of course a the original 4:3 picture ratio with a DD 2.0 soundtrack. The disk features four music themed episodes with guest stars such as The Who, Cypress Hill, The Smashing Pumpkins and the guest voice of George Harrison. The DVD features a featurette on OTTO the bus driver.
HOMERPALOOZA
Worried he is out of touch with the times and a disappointment to his kids, Homer purchases tickets to~the~ultra cool 'Hullabalooza Music Festival' and takes Bart and Lisa; At the~concert, Homer tries to blend in but is soon rejected by the Generation X kids. As the crowd rock to Cypress Hill and The Smashing Pumpkins, Homer gets cross and in his rage kicks a cannon... which then fires a cannon ball into his stomach! Surviving the blow seemingly unscathed, Homer is employed by the Festivals Freak Show and joins the tour!
A TALE OF TWO SPRINGFIELDS (250th Episode!)
When Springfield gets an additional area code, Homer can't cope with having to remember the 3 extra digits and goes on a mission to divide East and West Springfield. As Mayor of take West side, Homer renames it New Springfield and wages war on all those in Olde Springfield, claiming its elitist. With the nuclear power plant on his side of fown, Homer knocks out the power to everyone in Olde Springfield, and before long the two sides are destroying each other, culminating in most residences of New Springfield jumping ship. It takes a visit from The Who to urge the Springfielders to set aside their area code differences and get speed dialing!
THE OTTO SHOW
Bart and Milhouse go to their first heavy metal concert... to see Spinal Tap! With Homer waiting in the car outside, the boys get their' first taste of life in the fast lane. Totally over-awed by the experience Bart decides he wants to be a rock star, so Marge agrees to buy him a guitar. On the school bus, Otto demonstrates his skills on Bart's guitar but in doing so makes them late. Racing to get to school in time, Otto drives like a man possessed! After a number of drivers ring up to complain, Otto must face Principal Skinner to confess he doesn't even have a driving license. Suspended without pay and forced out of his home, Otto moves into the Simpsons' garage...

At a Springfield car boot Sale, Bart and Lisa unearth an album entitled "Meet the Be Sharps" with a picture of Homer on the ic over. When they ask Homer about it, he reminisces back to 1985, when he, Chief Wiggum, Priucipal Skinner and Apu formed a Barbershop Quartet. Thrilling Springfield crowds they' even get a Manager, who decides Wiggum is a little too "Village People" and recruits Barney instead. The Be Sharps are set for stardom; with sell out concerts, a hit record, and a Grammy under their belts... could they end up as the next Fab Four???
