I had watched this TMNT rip-off a little. But I never expected it to be coming to DVD so soon:

What? It's coming to DVD, when did this happen? I'm a little curious though seeing I never saw the show either

It was like, this Doctor: Doctor Piranoid.
An accidental mix of himself with a Pirana, who did an experiment on four teens and turned them into half sharks. And a reporter helped them build a base.http://stonegate.furvect.com/media/S/1-street-sharks.jpg

Yeah, but the title is
Street Sharks: Shark Bait / Action Man In Space
are those 2 episodes or was that the whole name of the show?

I'm thinking that those are two episodes.

I'm wondering if it's the Street Sharks that I am thinking of! :) I don't remember the episodes names or anything.

all i remember are the toys. i remember the show sucking sour frog butt. just a vehicle to sell the toys (which were actually kinda cool).
but yeah, pretty blatant rip-off of TMNT.
need i say again how disgusted i am with Street Sharks being released on DVD before, hell, anything else? probably not. :) at least we should see Futurama and Family Guy in Region 1 first! come on, studios! "Street Sharks???"

Hey Toonster, no problem. Have you followed it up to make sure it's the same thing? I'm about to.

As I'm looking at the very little specs I noticed that the running time is 140mins. Well, Shark Bait was a 30 minute episode (with commercials, making it about 22mins) and Action Man In Space, which is already on DVD, has a running time of 70mins. I'm assuming that with that running time, it will contain a few Street Sharks episodes.
I'll try to get more info tomorrow.

As for the Action Man in Space, just do a search on DVDempire. The details say it has a 70min running time.

Oh yeah baby, bring on the Sharks!!! Not as cool as the TMNT, but they were cool. Hope they do well. Maybe they'll release the whole season!

I just got off the phone with Lions Gate and they did confirm Street Sharks and The Ripping Friends, both being released in May. He said he would send me more details, so I'll have to wait too.

Did they say if Street Sharks is going to be released as a single disc or is it only available as a double feature with Action Man? I already have the Action Man disc and would rather not have to purchase that again.

We were only on the phone for like 2 minutes and most of the time I was aswering some of his questions, and then he asked me if I was familiar with Ripping Friends, but he only mentioned May. I was suppose to e-mail him some stuff but we are having e-mail problems and I have no idea if he received the mail I sent him. I'm making sure tomorrow and I'll let you guys know then if I get any new information.

I must admit, this is good news though, at least for Ripping Friends, but forget those...I want to know when they plan on releasing "The Real Ghostbusters?" :)
